MODIFIED WORK – CCR § 10116.9 (a) – Reg. job is modified AND:

  1. Allows EE to perform all functions of the job;
  2. Offers wages & compensation of at least 85% of what was paid at DOI;
  3. Located w/in reasonable commuting distance of EE home at DOI.


ALTERNATIVE Work Defined  – CCR § 10116.9 (h):

  1. EE able to perform the essential job functions;
  2. Job is a “regular position” lasting at least 12 months;
  3. Pays wages & comp within 15% of those at DOI;
  4. Job is within reasonable commuting distance EE’s home at DOI.
