Be Honest

Be honest and transparent. If a client asks you for your opinion on a case, don’t just try to please them and tell them what they want to hear. Don’t tell them only the good. You have to be honest with expectations and likely outcomes. We can’t predict 100%, but we know tendencies of attorneys and judges so always be transparent and realistic when analyzing a case or exposure or settlement. The client needs to know the risks involved and worst case scenario. If everything is laid out to the client, there won’t be surprises and they can then decide how best to proceed.
