Dave Chun, Chair of the Diversity Committee, and member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, leads SRTK’s diversity efforts. Below you will find the firm’s five central initiatives that drive our diversity and inclusion program. The Diversity Committee continually reviews the below and adjusts and updates as necessary.

Inclusive Environment Initiatives

  • Implements quarterly meetings to discuss issues that are important to underrepresented groups
  • Revises firm policies so committees and initiatives focus on inclusion
  • Solicits input and participation from staff on diversity and inclusion initiatives

Leadership Initiatives

  • Develops organizational advancement plans for underrepresented groups and implemented quarterly meetings to fulfill these strategic initiatives and objectives to groom qualified attorneys from underrepresented groups for leadership positions within the firm and community
  • Encourages staff to attend leadership conferences where diversity and inclusion is a point of emphasis

LGBTQ Initiatives

  • Partners with and sponsors local LGBTQ organizations and events
  • Sponsors Rainbow Umbrella Pride Prom of Ventura County
  • Sponsors AIDS Walk Ventura County

Recruiting Initiatives

  • The committee strives to find innovative and practical solutions to issues that have an adverse impact on recruitment, retention and promotion of underrepresented groups
  • The committee has established outreach programs designed to recruit and maintain a pipeline of underrepresented groups for hire
  • The firm continues to work with search firms that are committed to increasing diversity within the legal community

Women’s Initiatives

  • Member of California Women Lawyers
  • Member of Orange County Women Lawyers Association
  • Teamed with Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and sponsored firm-wide membership
  • Board Member of The Professional Females In Risk Management

  • Sponsored the Justice Jog 5k and 10k Run/Walk benefitting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Los Angeles
  • Partnered with Various Bar Associations on Diversity and Inclusion Campaigns
