California Division of Workers’ Compensation Suspends In-Person Hearings Due to COVID-19 Surge

The Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers’ Compensation announced on Tuesday, Jan. 11, that all in-person hearings will be paused through the end of the month, when the situation will be re-evaluated. In the meantime, effective January 12th, all hearings will be held remotely.

Per the DWC:

“DWC hearing notices will not change but parties should be aware that as of January 12, 2022, if a trial, expedited hearing, lien trial or SAU trial is set at a district office, all parties should call the judges’ assigned conference line and not appear in person. The judges’ assigned conference lines may be found on the DWC webpage. All division offices will remain open during this time.”

SRTK will continue to monitor the situation closely. As always, please contact our offices with any questions about what this may mean for your case.
